The Fijian made no mistake and ATK Mohun Bagan went 1-0 up. Just few minutes later, Harmanjot Khabra made a horrible tackle just outside the box. Both the Penalty and this this foul were simply school boy errors from the Bengaluru players. Marcelinho stepped up and scored a brilliant goal from the free-kick to put Mariners 2-0 up. It was same in the second half. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was brilliant under the bar otherwise the scoreline could’ve been different at the end of the night. In the 49th minute, Sandesh Jhingan’s powerful shot was once again brilliantly stopped by Gurpreet. Throughout the second half ATK Mohun Bagan kept pressure in the Bengaluru defence.
